From 12 – 16 April 2024, expect local Thais, expats, and foreign tourists to join in the much awaited Songkran festival celebrations throughout the country. In the morning, you can observe the traditional and religious activities before joining in the water fights at noon or parties that take place in the afternoon and evening. Besides the five-day national holiday, festivities in selected cities and shopping malls will be extended until the 21 April 2024.

Every year, the vibrant Songkran festival transforms the outdoor event space at CentralwOrld in downtown Bangkok into a lively arena of fun. The annual extravaganza is making its return this year for two days on 13 & 14 April 2024.
Themed “Thai Rhythm”, over 100 prominent Thai artists, bands, and DJs including DJ Soda, 4Eve, Apaporn, YingYong, Joeyboy, Milli and DJ Cobra K will grace the stage, infusing the air with electrifying beats and soulful melodies.
Other than being entertained by celebrated artists in the country, visitors to the event can also look forward to participating in traditional water battles to usher in the Thai New Year.

After enjoying Songkran festivities in Bangkok during the national holidays the week before, consider making your way to Pattaya the following Friday to cap off the celebrations.
The festivities in Pattaya kicks off in the morning with a ceremonial bathing of the Lord Buddha statue and a religious procession at Wat Chai Mongkhon temple.
