Ferry Service to ICONSIAM (No more free ferry from May 2023!)

Now that there’s no more free ferry service to ICONSIAM, learn more about the ticketed ferry shuttle service from BTS Saphan Taskin to ICONSIAM, BTS direct option, schedule and cost.

Cessation of free boat shuttle service from Saphan Taksin BTS to ICONSIAM

From 1 May 2023, ICONSIAM has stopped the free ferry shuttle offered to shoppers between Sathorn Pier (Saphan Taksin BTS) and ICONSIAM, and between ICONSIAM and Si Phraya Pier (Captain Bush Lane / River City). 

Tourists who wish to travel from Saphan Taksin BTS to ICONSIAM may consider ferry service offered by private boat operators Thai Smile Boat Co. Ltd and Supatra Boat Co. Ltd. 

ICONSIAM Ferry Operating Hours & Cost

  • Saphan Taksin BTS (Sathorn Pier) ICONSIAM (Pier 1)
    • Operating Hours: 9:00am to 11:00pm
    • Frequency: 15 – 20 minutes
    • Cost: THB 10 per trip / person
  • River City / Captain Bush Lane (Si Phraya Pier) ICONSIAM (Pier 4)
    • Operating Hours: 9:00am to 11:00pm
    • Frequency: 15 – 20 minutes
    • Cost: THB 6 per trip / person

Apart from taking ferry to and from Saphan Taksin BTS, which is the most commonly taken river route to ICONSIAM, shoppers may also board on Orange Flag and Blue Flag routes from various stops along the Chao Phraya River. Popular stops include Ratchawong (Chinatown), Phra Arthit (Khaosan Road), Wat Arun, Asiatique and more.

  • Frequency: Approximately 30 minutes
  • Cost: (Single Trip) THB 30 per trip / person (Day Pass) THB 150 / person

Tickets can be purchased at the respective piers along the river route or at the Boat Ticket Service counter beside ICONSIAM’s entrance on the ground floor.

Direct BTS to ICONSIAM

Besides the river route, metered taxi and grab-hailing service, the most convenient and easiest option for tourists to get to ICONSIAM is to hop on an air-conditioned BTS sky train from Bangkok city centre to ICONSIAM.

Since December 2020, a 3-station BTS Gold line has been in service. The BTS Gold line connects with the existing BTS network at Krung Thon Buri BTS station of the Silom line.

If you are taking a BTS in the city centre from the Siam station, alight at the Krung Thon Buri station and walk 2-minutes to change to the Gold line. Alight at Charoen Nakhon station and you have arrived at ICONSIAM!

  • Operating Hours: 6:00am to 12:00am
  • Frequency: Approximately 15 minutes
  • Cost: THB 17 per trip / person (Only for trips along the Gold line)
