Ferry Service to ICONSIAM (2025)

No more free boat shuttle service from Saphan Taksin BTS to ICONSIAM

ICONSIAM previously offered a free ferry shuttle service connecting the mall located along the Chao Phraya River with Saphan Taksin BTS Station on the opposite bank.

However, as of 1 May 2023, this complimentary service has been discontinued. This includes ferry routes between Sathorn Pier (near Saphan Taksin BTS) and ICONSIAM, as well as between ICONSIAM and Si Phraya Pier (Captain Bush Lane / River City).

Tourists traveling from Saphan Taksin BTS to ICONSIAM can now use ferry services operated by private companies such as Thai Smile Boat Co. Ltd and Supatra Boat Co. Ltd, available for a nominal fee.

ICONSIAM Ferry Operating Hours & Cost

  • Saphan Taksin BTS (Sathorn Pier) ICONSIAM (Pier 1)
    • Operating Hours: 9:00am – 11:00pm
    • Frequency: 15 – 20 minutes
    • Cost: THB 8 per trip / person
  • River City / Captain Bush Lane (Si Phraya Pier) ICONSIAM (Pier 4)
    • Operating Hours: 9:00am – 11:00pm
    • Frequency: 15 – 20 minutes
    • Cost: THB 6 per trip / person

In addition to the direct shuttle ferry from Saphan Taksin BTS, shoppers can also reach ICONSIAM via the Chao Phraya River using the Orange Flag and Blue Flag boat services, which stop at several major piers, including Ratchawong (Chinatown), Phra Arthit (Khaosan Road), Wat Arun, Asiatique, and more.

  • Operating Hours: 9:00am – 7:15pm
  • Frequency: Approximately 30 minutes
  • Cost: (Single Trip) THB 45 per trip / person (Day Pass) THB 150 / person

Tickets can be purchased at individual piers along the river route or at the Boat Ticket service counter located near ICONSIAM’s ground floor entrance at River Park.

Direct BTS to ICONSIAM

Aside from river ferries, metered taxis, and Grab ride-hailing services, the most convenient and hassle-free way for tourists to reach ICONSIAM from Bangkok city center is by taking the air-conditioned BTS sky train.

Since December 2020, the 3-station BTS Gold Line has been operational, providing a connection to the existing BTS network at Krung Thon Buri station on the BTS Silom Line (Dark Green Line).

If you’re traveling on the BTS from Siam station in the city center, disembark at Krung Thon Buri station and take a short 2-minute walk to transfer to the Gold Line. Then, board the Gold Line train and alight at Charoen Nakhon station.

  • BTS Station: Charoen Nakhon (Gold Line)
  • Operating Hours: 6:00am – 12:00am
  • Frequency: 8 – 15 minutes (depending on the time of the day)
  • Cost: THB 16 per trip / person (for travel within the Gold line)
