The grandest Songkran celebration in Thailand, organized by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), will take place over five days at Sanam Luang public park, next to Wat Phra Kaew and the Grand Palace.
In addition to religious activities like Buddha bathing rituals and processions, the event will feature a temple fair with amusement rides, carnival games, and a food fair to entertain visitors of all ages.
The celebration will also feature an exhibition highlighting Thai traditions from various regions, engaging water battles, an electrifying Electronic Dance Music (EDM) concert, and live performances by iconic Thai artists such as Tilly Birds, Jeff Satur, Paradox, Kratae Rsiam and Bodyslam, ensuring the excitement never stops.

Every year during the Songkran festival, centralwOrld transforms its outdoor event space into a lively arena of fun. This annual extravaganza returns for three days this year, a day longer than last year, from 12 – 14 April 2025.
With the theme “Thai Rhythm,” the event will feature over 100 Thai artists, bands, and DJs, including Joeyboy & The Voice Team (เดอะวอยซ์ ทีมโจอี้บอย), PROXIE, Taitosmith (ไททศมิตร), Kratae Katay Krit (กระแต กระต่าย กฤษ), and more, performing a blend of Thai pop, contemporary, and folk music.
Along with enjoying performances by some of the country’s most celebrated artists, attendees can also experience thrills on a giant inflatable slide, compete in the ROV Arena of Valor online gaming competition, and take part in traditional water battles to celebrate the Thai New Year.

Win Lai Festival (Pattaya)
After enjoying the Songkran festivities in Bangkok during the national holidays, consider heading to Pattaya the following Friday and Saturday to continue the celebrations at the unique Win Lai Festival.
This year, the celebration will span two days, with the first day taking place at Lan Pho Naklua Public Park and the second at Wat Chai Mongkhon Buddhist Temple.
The festival will feature a mix of religious activities such as Buddhist prayers, almsgiving, and Buddha bathing rituals, as well as cultural events including a floral parade, cultural performances, a retro dance show, a sand pagoda building activity, and more.

One of Asia’s largest gay party, GCircuit, returns this Songkran in Bangkok from 11 – 14 April 2025.
The 4-day event will be spread across six uniquely themed parties. Four of these parties will take place at the UOB Live Hall within EmSphere shopping mall during the evenings.
