Wat Arun Countdown 2024 / 2025 (Bangkok, Thailand)

Wat Arun Countdown 2024 / 2025, part of the Amazing Thailand Countdown celebrations in Bangkok, will take place from 28 December 2024 through to the first hour of the new year at Nagaraphirom Park. Located directly across from the iconic Wat Arun (The Temple of Dawn) and separated by the picturesque Chao Phraya River, this event promises to offer breathtaking views and memorable festivities.

With Wat Arun as a stunning backdrop, attendees will be treated to a diverse lineup of cultural performances and mini-concerts by top Thai artists over four evenings at the park, located just 800 meters from the historic Grand Palace. The festivities will culminate in a dazzling drone show and a nine-act fireworks display to usher in the new year on 31 December 2024.

Additionally, visitors can indulge in delicious local snacks at the pop-up night market and participate in hands-on craft workshops throughout the event, making it a truly immersive experience.

For Buddhists, join the merit-making ceremony on New Year’s Day, 1 January 2025 (Wednesday), where you can offer alms to 68 monks at Wat Arun from 7:00am to 8:00am. The doors will open at 6:00am for early arrivals.
