Thailand Public Holidays 2025

Plan your trips and organize your itineraries with the official public holiday dates for Thailand in 2025.

Buddhism is practiced by over 90% of Thailand’s population, and as such, the country’s public holidays are closely tied to significant Buddhist events.

This year, there are 12 long weekends, during which government offices, schools, banks and many businesses will be closed. However, tourists need not worry, as shops and popular attractions will remain open on these days.

Additionally, it’s worth noting that two special dates, 2 June & 11 August 2025, have been declared public holidays to extend the birthday celebrations of Queen Suthida and Queen Mother Sirikit, creating two extra long weekends.
