How to go to Jodd Fairs Bangkok? (2025)

Learn how to get to Jodd Fairs Bangkok – a must-visit night market in Thailand for tourists. Learn about transport options, what to expect there, and what’s around the area.

Jodd Fairs night market has quickly become a favorite among tourists, thanks to its chic, modern vibe. Unlike traditional Thai night markets, it offers wide walkways, permanent stalls rather than pop-up tents, and a prime location that’s easily accessible via public transport.

Previously located in Rama 9, it relocated to its current site in Ratchada in November 2024. The new venue offers upgraded facilities, including permanent structures, sheltered areas in both the retail and food zones, and smooth concrete flooring for easier navigation.

Bargain hunters will also appreciate the affordability, with popular items like elephant pants available for just THB 100.

However, one downside is that the market clearly caters to tourists. It lacks the authentic local vibe and doesn’t attract many Thai visitors.

Where is Jodd Fairs Ratchada located?

This mega night market is located in the Ratchada area, in between the Din Daeng and Huai Khwang districts. It’s just 230 meters, or about a 3-minute walk, from the nearest MRT station.

  • MRT: Get off at Thailand Cultural Centre MRT Station, and exit via Exit 4. Walk in the direction of Big C (you will spot its large sign easily).
  • Taxi: Tell the driver you are going to Jodd Fairs Ratchada จ๊อดแฟร์ รัชดา and they will drop you off at near the main entrance. Alternatively, you can ask to drop off at Big C Place Ratchadaphisek บิ๊กซี เพลส รัชดาภิเษก, which has a proper driveway for convenient drop-off.

Virtual Tour of Jodd Fairs Ratchada

Compared to its previous location at Rama 9, Jodd Fairs Ratchada feels significantly more organized, spacious, and well-ventilated, with even, paved walkways that make it easier to navigate. Much of the market is now sheltered, making it a more weather-friendly destination, even during rainy evenings.

Dining options are plentiful, with dedicated restaurant spaces as well as open seating areas, both alfresco and covered, available for public use.

However, during our visit on a Thursday night, we noticed that while the entrance area was crowded, the inner sections of the market were noticeably quieter, with fewer visitors. In addition, the overall number of stalls, both retail and food, seems smaller than in its previous incarnation.

While Jodd Fairs Ratchada may offer fewer options than before, visitors looking to enjoy a full meal or shop for more gifts and essentials can explore two major shopping centres flanking the night market: Big C Place Ratchada and Esplanade Ratchadaphisek.

Big C Place Ratchada is located right next door and features a variety of dining options, from hotpot restaurants and KFC to a local-style food court on the second floor. Operated by the well-known hypermarket chain, it also houses a large supermarket offering everything from groceries and household goods to ready-to-eat meals. Unlike the more tourist-oriented Big C opposite CentralWorld, this branch is popular with locals and provides a more authentic shopping experience.

Another nearby mall, Esplanade Ratchadaphisek, is located about 350 meters, or a 4-minute walk, from the night market. To reach it, take Exit 3 from Thailand Cultural Centre MRT Station instead of Exit 4.

The Esplanade houses a cineplex, various retail stores, and a selection of dining options ranging from fast food to international restaurants. However, the mall tends to quiet down after dark, with fewer visitors and many shops closing earlier in the evening.

For the best experience, consider starting your outing at Esplanade, perhaps with a movie or dinner, then wrapping up your evening at the air-conditioned Big C for some late-night shopping or snacks after visiting the night market.

For tourists visiting Bangkok, Jodd Fairs is currently one of the most popular night markets among international visitors. It’s worth exploring alongside other more local and authentic markets frequented by residents, expats, and savvy travelers across the city.
